A 6-page (plus front and back covers) comic final for a graphic novel class, following Croak on a short crypt-delving adventure of increasingly absurd proportions.
Drafting and workshopping began around mid-March, but the vast majority of this comic was crunched out in the span of a week mid-April. Despite struggles to figure out a direction for this comic in March due to an inexperience with writing, once I started thinking more about it from an art-perspective with a larger focus on action and dynamic compositions it all came together pretty well! As a first foray into making comics, it was also very interesting having to problem-solve and utilize page turns, which led to decisions such as ending the story on the back cover for better pacing (even if it meant another page of work lol). I didn't have time to try adding color, and that might be something I come back to in the future, but otherwise I had an immensely fun time with this project and with the Graphic Novel class in general!
